Spoon head gasket is thinner, which in turn increases compression, which in turn gives a bit extra power.

Is it worth it? Nope.

Yes, dynojet. My baseline when I was stock was 197rwhp. (I remember that much cause I had a couple different setups along the way)

 

the headgasket and studs would only be done because ill already have the head apart for the cams..so i might as well do it all

 

If you can afford all these parts, why are you worried about the cost of insurance? Apparently you make enough money.

The spoon hg increases the comp by .2 from what I have read.

And it would make sense to throw it in if your already got the head off

its a waste of money to do that considering u could go FI for the amount of power u get... and if u just wanted IHE, u sould have gone with a different brand and saved 60-70% JMHO

 

well, i've done things to my s2k. intake, apexi vtec controler, HKS catback, Tein C/O and sways... I need more power and not ready to put down 4g'z for a turbo kit DONT BE MEAN hahaha jk
