Default Bumper Repaint?

So the bumper on my S2000 (bought used from my bro) is a bit dinged up and I took it in the shop to get an estimate.

They quoted me for $1000 to replace front bumper with OEM, painted, sand down and respray rear bumper.

Is this about right?

While were on this topic, does anybody recommend any good body shops in the Clarksville,TN area?

Thanks

bumper paint range from 300-500 depends on the quality of prep and paint.

The problem with our bumper is that there's no OEM replacement aka knock off for it

you could get a used one for 2-300 but there's going to be more prep work, and depends on the guy doing it, it might not finish as nice as a new one(depends on the shop)

OEM bumpers come in primer ready to paint. $249.86 for an AP2 front bumper.

No matter where you go, make sure they blend your fenders and hood as well... for $1000 i would want that done... if not, $600 max...

600$ max for a brand new bumper and front and rear paint and prep? i think thats a bit low for quality work. i would pay $1000 for the work the OP described

get the bumpers for 250 at http://www.hardtopguy.com

paint shouldnt be that much...but then again, it has pearl or metallic in it, depending on what color it is. i remember getting 1 bumper painted, which costs like 200-250. so i think you can save more if you bought the bumpers on your own.
