na= slow
if you want to have some fun on the street just boost it. its all about the power to weight ratio.

2800+pounds + NA + 4 cilindar+ 91 octane pump gas = slowwwwwww

4 banger na's should be left to the sub 2000pound crx/civics

not nescessarly true bro, just because you didnt enjoy your NA set up and it wasnt up to "YOUR" standard doesnt mean others will enjoy it... i had several 200+ set ups in 2K+ cars adn enjoyed the hell out of them
Boost is fun too dont get me wrong!

Comptech supercharger. Can't go wrong. If you need more power than that in a S2K you don't need an S2K, you need a vette or a viper.

I see people spend huge money trying to modify the S2000 engine looking for big torque gains as well as more HP. I don't know why more people don't just invest in an engine swap. The S2000 engine compartment is pretty big. I think there are a number of good V6 engines that will deliver 300 hp and 300 ft lbs or torque and run free and easy for 100k miles. Then if you want even more power, it is pretty easy and cheap to mod a V6.

When the S came out, all the reviewers commented that there was plenty of room for a V6, but Honda never installed them.

Take a look at the engine in the IS 350. It is very light weight. Not sure how difficult it would be to mate it to a 6 speed manual.

Also, keep in mind that the V6 can be packaged just as short or shorter than a straight 4 so it isn't going to sit much further forward if the swap is engineered correctly. I'm not sure what the weight is of all the current available V6 engines that are already rear drive configured for an easy swap, but there are enough of them that it would be worth looking into. 350Z swap comes to mind.
