Default The big question.... keep it N/A or implement forced induction

What are your thoughts on modifying an s2000, keep it N/A and maybe put on individual throttle bodies or us forced induction

I'd like to see another N/A killer, but make sure that you are making at least 120HP/L.

daily driver?

yes true but a proper sized turbo will work wonders on a S2K....

i completely agree......

as long as it is properly installed/tuned.....

but, i still believe the best bang for the buck, w/ Reliability would be to change the final drive......

totally changes the car......which i am sure you know

100% on the gearing.....
see the thigns is with people nowadays is that want XXX amount of #'s to see on a street car yet in reality its USELESS.....
i had a built LS-T 62-1 with all the fixins yet i drove it daily on only 10psi.. WHY? because that was all i needed on a daily basis....

So proper turbo size? You need a turbo to match the enging/rpm curve, so 35R, 30R might fall off too soon from what I've been told. Looking!

fall off too soon? whoever told you that might have told you a 42R was perfect for a stock F20/22c on pump gas too right???

a large GT28 like a 82a/r might work but i would have ot look at the graph.... t3t4 50 trim would spool up fast and carry the power but start to fall off up top a bit.. but the torque will be high on it

gt30 or gt35 would be prefect for a 2.0L or 2.2L gt30 will spool fast and keep on kicking all the way to redline... gt35 is just one step up... look at the greddy turbo kit that has a small turbo and works great for a DD. Many people have them and are happy with the about 300whp they put out. the greddy is cheaper and is a full kit with everything you need. now on the other hand the comptec supercharger is also great and makes about the same hp. Both are great for a DD you really dont want much more then 300whp for a DD you just cant use it and it will get you in trouble!!! I also would like to add that going to a 4.56 gearing would be some thing i would look into if you feel you need a lower 0-60.

I think an na beast would be more fun.

Once inlinepro has perfected their 2.7l stroker I would say go for that.

If you want some 'cheaper' power then just go turbo and be done with it.

I like the idea of a 300rwhp engine with a side of nitrous. (DP 100shot to be exact)

I have a 3076 that I got for a 1.8t gti but it's diveded for the low redline in the vw. since I never put it on the car I was thinking of running it on the S2k but Jesse of AFI (my shop neighbor) suggested that the 30R would fall off around 72-7500, and after shifting @ 9000 it dropping to about 7500 between shifts that it would max out right at vtech.

3076 is what Im looking at for my evo and it is perfect for anyone that is using the car for everyday and will be putting out less then 400hp now that is on a evo and a f20/f22 will not need that much more is any cfm so it should work great. gt35 would be a better choice if you going for big numbers but since you said that you are looking at a NA setup or FI that kinda told me you not looking for big numbers and while NA whp what 300 is about all you could get out of it so im keeping that in mind. How much money do you want to spend is a big factor in what you do so ask yourself how much do you want to spend... a 400+ whp setup will run you a good 6-7k easy with fuel management. The more i think about it because i am looking at buying a s2k soon ... I would do simple greddy turbo kit or the comptech supercharger and 4.56 gearing.. easy 300whp ..not to much not to little and should smack down a 0-60 in what 4.5 secs or so" if you hook up"

again you car you pick what you want to do but this has made me think about what im going to do... i wanted big power but i dont want a dyno queen. I just want a car i can afford to drive and have fun with it.. thats why I stop at ~350 whp on my evo which is my winter car and i drive it in the snow...

350whp is right about were I'd like it to be. I can't think of a more fun car to drive with that power range(for the $$). I've done the big # thing on my vw .:R32 and I'm not a fan of breaking to many parts on a weekly driver.

yes a GT30 is nice on a EVO.. i have VIII myself..... however the 4G63 does not flow like a N/A F20/22.. however with the right staged wheel/ar/trim it will carry itself well into where you need it to be...

watch out for the ITBs...make srue you know what you are getting into. lotssss of tuning required for it. and the way you tune it for summer....will more than likely need a different tune in say...fall/winter
