02S2Kblue--You are stepping on thin ice with this subject. Some people, including myself, may find it offensive. Besides, there are many more handicaps than just people who cannot walk. Try to be a little more open minded in the future.

how bout i break the ice..... dude i really don't care.. if you're handicapped you don't belong in a sports car....... i think you'd have other things to deal with then to drive a car like this.... pure and simple...

What if you lost a leg or something, would you be content with driving a 4 door accord instead of your s2000? If you say yes then you are just saying it to try and win the argument.

i wouldn't be content but i would live with it...... cause i'd obviously have other problems to deal with and other things i need to take care of then to drive around in a sports car...... and i would try to make my life as easy as possible from then on, and i'd know getting in and out of an s2000 would be way to much trouble....

You say that now because you aren't in those shoes. Not every handicapped person has "other problems to deal with" or "other things to take care of." Imagine you were yourself but your left leg was amputated at the knee, you wouldn't want to give up owning a sports car because of a disability. Anyway, this is getting way too complicated but it's wrong to say handicapped people shouldn't own a sports car. S2000's aren't all that hard to get in and out of either.

Im going to take the side of Corona...
There are many many factors you have to consider, someone who is "handicapped" may not be hadicapped to the extent you are thinking. no foot, no feeling in leg, maybe they underwent chemo and lost all the muscle in their leg, who knows.
If someone wants to drive a sports car, i think they should be able to, regardless of physical negative, that is if they can pass a drivers test.
I look at it like, I race downhill mountain bikes, and there is a guy that rides one of these, http://www.rgj.com/news/files/...0.jpg and he could kick my *** on the hill.

Where are the updates on the laskey hot rod, i havn't seen any new pics in weeks. Either way the setup is looking awsome, it should be a very competetive and consistant car once its dialed in.
You'll have to go to Mercedes, Lexus, Corvette, etc. to get a sport/luxury car that has these options. The S2000 is a non-compromising sports car ie edmonson.com.
Guys, I am dissapointed in the help i have, or have not recieved. I was in a car accident two years ago and lost my wife and daughter, not to mention my left leg. I was just looking for something that would bring some joy to my life, but now that I see what the s2000 community is like, im not so sure anymore.

well, not all of us are like that but to help you. The S from factory is manual only. I really don't see how you can get an automatic tranny in there as there is nothing to swap from. If it was like an accord, you could swap. No one makes auto trannies for the s2000. hopefully that helps answer your questions

My father got run over by a car and broke both of his legs leaving him handicapped but able to walk somewhat. He is also a big and tall guy and accepts who he is now. He can drive stick but prefers auto, and also is a big anf tall guy so he doesnt try to squeeze into a car, he bought a F350 diesel automatic, it fits him well and for what it is it is fast. He doesnt try to fit into a car that is not meant for someone of his porprotions and handicap.
Anything you say nowadays can be considered offensive. That doesn't mean 03s2kblue isn't entitled to his opinion. He can say whatever the **** he wants and my paycheck still comes, I still have my S, and a house. I can say whatever I want to him and he will still sleep at night. People are too defensive, always willing to jump your nuts once you speak your mind, like there's a reward for it or something. Who cares if they decide to make an automatic S with 4 doors AND front wheel drive? Oh **** thats a TSX. I'll take the S thank you.
Sorry for your loss. But from someone that's been in Social Services, and a bleading heart liberal, you might have learned something from your first posting, ie "the more details you give, the better your response should be".
