Default ap1 ground controls

i just installed my ground controls on stock shocks two days ago.
the ride is really bouncy and when i turn into a dip or driveway
something cracks. is this normal? is it because it's settling?
i dropped it the lowest the sleeve could go.
thanks in advance

^ its cause ur like every other freakin civic owner and dump the car on stock shocks. ur oem shocks r most likely bottoming the **** out and they are not set for the spring rates of the gc this = shitty ****ing ride and even worse handling than stock. most pple run koni's when they run this cup kit supposedly its good but i never trusted it and went with actual coilovers. every one wants to go low but no one wants to pay to do it right

Check the control arm bolts, they might be loose.

did you make sure you crack the bolts loose and have it sit on the spring at your ride height THEN torquing them down. Your bushings could be destroyed.

btw got any pics?

You have to buy koni spec ground controls if you buy konis. The regular sleeve is too big.

Op probably installed them incorrectly. The dust cover was probably not cut or removed. Or the bumpstops weren't cut enough. S2000s are now being modded like 1992 civics.

I'm pretty sure I used to drive around in my EF circa 2002-2003 with "boyz from illnoise" and "G-unit" and "ladies, please call (my number)" written on it with shoe polish.

You'd be surprised at how many ladies actually called.

i had Ground Controls on my 01' Prelude and the guy who installed them had the fronts on the back and the backs on the front... over every bump it made horrible sounds... so check the install first... and also OEM Shocks cant really handle going really low... most people love to just dump their cars cause it looks good... but be a man and get coilovers if you want to go low... i mean you drive an S2000 not a automatic civic with a grocery basket wing on the back...

at least i hope you dont
