i recently went to robertsons honda in north hollywood , california (just put location in case any one lives around the place and wants to go and ask) and i was intrested in buying a s2000. they actually told me to wait until teh new 2005 one comesout whihc is much better than the older years. They told me it will be a little wider and be a little longer and also a retuned engine to have a whooping 270 horses ! I was suprised when i heard this and had to post it up.I confirmed it with 3 of the sales men there and i was wondering if any one has information on this. Someting intresting to research on .

no, they were just ******* with him. i see it all the time. they use it as a test to see who knows what about which product.

 

Most salespeople don't know jack about what they're selling. Everytime I go to a dealer I have to drops the education on them! They may have been thinking about the 05 Odyssey which is a little bigger and has a 15hp increase (240 -&gt; 255). Odysseys and s2ks are very similar though, so I can see how they could make that mistake

I'd think they'd at least know a bit about the cars they're selling. I had a salesman tell me the S was a V6 with "a lot of horse power."

How can they not know the main points of the hottest car at their dealership? It's not like the Accord or the Civic with so many different options...

 

What dealship is this? Are they Hiring? I could be a damn genie-us there!!

Whats even more hilarious is when you actually go to BUY an S2000 from a dealer that knows NOTHING about the car, after about 10min. of me asking questions and hearing "Ummm, im not really sure..." We decided to take a little drive and deal with a friend of mine who in turn also got us quite a deal on my wife's.

It really pays to know your stuff...amazing how many car salesman that are out there probobly dont even know the name of the cars they are selling...kinda sad really.
