00-01 difference between 02-03 models
I'm in the market at getting an S2000 and I have seen fairly cheap s2000's that people would hop on if it were only an 02. What makes the 02-03 models better then th e00-01 models. What are the changes that were made and which one would you prefer. Also if anyone has one for sale please let me know. Thanks
softer suspension, softer clutch, upgraded syncros in tranny, almost all TSB's and recalls solved, metal rings around tailights, upgraded stereo, addition of tweeters in the doors, slight bronze tint to wheels (only visible if parked nex to a pre 2002) and IMO, best of all the infamous glass back window instead of platic crap that folds and bends.
Also I forgot to mention the interior. The 00-01 is quite bare around the shifter. It is all carpet where as the 02-03 is wrapped in leather.
Also, a slight change in the fuel map on the ECU. Not exactly sure what was changed. Perhaps a more lean fuel curve? But the 02-03 tend to dyno around 10 or so whp over the 00-01.

*edit* just noticed you're not into the '04. A search will reveal all the points you need showing the differences b/w an '00-'01 to '02-'03
