Thinking about gettting a Ruckus!
I'm selling my 5th gen hatch and i'm looking for another DD to mainly drive to work and put around town. How would you guys rate these for a DD? Also, what kind of Ruckus should I be looking for? Anything I should watch out for? My budget is around $1500.

well if your gonna stay with the stock 50cc motor get a 06 up model and if your gonna do a gy6 swap then get a 05 or older model and it will save you some cash

Sorry, I don't know much about the Ruckus. so is the GY6 the motor out of a 06+ model? Also, are there any places where I can order a skin to cover the tanks on the Ruckus?

no, the gy6 is a motor commonly used for bigger scooters, like 125, 150cc. pretty common for swaps. all rucks use a 49cc motor, just newer ones seem to be a little faster......

Well for cool you made he right choice! And a lot of mods can be done! As long as your within 6 miles of work it should work out fine. Your speed should be around 40 mph +/- how much you can spend to do some engine mods. You should be able to break 40 mph with just a few simple chanes CDI, Varaitor and High flow air filiter. For a little more refinement rejet and tune for the Max. Check out Battlescooter.com articiles "make it faster" for some preformance ideas.
