Kinda random, but this cant be right... I was reading about VTEC on howstuffwork.com and I saw this little animation...

The outside two cam profiles are what you would expect to see 90 degrees of seperation btw intake and exhaust lodes, but look at the inside two... they are exactly 180 degrees appart... then watch the intake stroke... in the middle two, half way thru the intake valve open time the piston comes back up...

someone tell me that this animation is wrong lol... or is this how it is supposed to work... because it doesnt sem correct...
