Default wiring for h22

ok, so i find someone with a wiring harness for the engine. however, im not sure if it plugs into the ecu. would a complete engine wiring harness go directly through the firewall and plug into the ecu, or is there another harness i need to get that will plug into the ecu? btw, this is for an h23 to jdm h22a swap in a 94 prelude.

if you have an h23 then you can re-use your harness for the swap. most places that send out the wireing harness with the swap give you the JDM harness which connects on the wrong side. So just use your h23 harness and use the vtec connecter from the the JDM harness and you'll be fine

this sounds like it involves taking the wires from the h22 harness and splicing them with the h23 harness. i can do that from the engine side, but not sure about wiring it into the ecu. any suggestions?

you can use the same harness from the h23 just run lines for the vtec and secondaries. i think the pins are

vtec: A4
IAB: A17

might want to check on that though.

yes, i know i can use the h23 harness. however, for the first thousand times i heard that not one person could give me step by step directions. i know where the harness is for the vtec, but not sure how to connect the wires and run them to the ecu. they also need pins i guess to hook into the ecu. anyways, since i cant get directions, im forced to use an h22 wiring harness.

ok, everything except the vtec stuff will connect to the old harness, you dont really have to splice any wires to your old harness. (if i wasnt at work i would go take pics and post them) You use the two connectors from the h22 harness so that you dont have splice into the wires of the actual sensors.

You only have to get two wires threw the fire wall to the ecu, which is pretty easy to find a hole to get them threw (best to do before you put the engine back in.) One wire from the vtec solenoid (grn) and One (blu/blk) of the two wires from the pressure switch. these will go to the ecu pins A4(solenoid) and D6(pressure). The second wire from the pressure switch will just need to go to a ground any where in the engine bay.

You will need 2 pins for the wires that go to the ecu (which i can sell you) which are then inserted into the harness which plugs into the ecu.

this is all off the top of my head so with out looking at my car i hope i gave you the correct pin numbers. If you have any questions you can pm me and i will help you out.
