From what I've been reading and talking to people, camber kits are really only necessary if the drop is more than 1.5". But, an alignment job after your lowering job should tell you how far off your camber is. Hope that helps.

Camber Kits
I agree that the only way to know for sure will be to have the car aligned after the lowering is completed. Get the print out and look at the factory settings versus what the car is at. There are kits available (depending on generation of Lude) from Ingalls, Specialty Products, and Northstar Manufacturing. They all have websites and 800#'s. If you need to order Ingalls or Specialty-they are available from Ultra Performance in Tuscon,AZ-that's where I got mine.
For each 1" of drop there will be a change of about -0.75 degrees from the original settings.

i had tanabe's super h's... 1 inch drop and i had noticeable uneven tire wear. SO I think any drop would require/benifit from a camber kit. But hey, if you don't mind buying new tired more often, then screw the kit. I still don't have a camber kit, and do not expect to ever buy one for my car.

I have H&R Sports, which according to H&R lowers the car 1.3 inches. (When measuring ride height according to what the service manual tells you to, ground to fender, my car dropped 2 1/2" from stock height measurement. Funny huh? H&R says it lowers it 1.3" I wonder where they are taking their measurements?)
It's been 6 months now and I've had no problems with tire wear. When I had the car aligned, I was right at the extremes of what's acceptable. The only thing that needed adjustment was toe because when you lower your car you get toe-out.
Hope this info helps. Don't forget to take ride height measurements before putting in the lowering springs.

Please do
I installed a set of Neuspeed race springs with Koni yellows. It dropped somewhere between 2" and 2.25". I got it alligned and the camber was GUST out of 'spec' ( < .2deg). 5K miles later I am looking at replacing my Z rated Bridgestones. Do it right and forget it!!

I put on the Eibach Pro-Kit and it sits very nice. It has a very slight bit of camber in the back but if I am not mistaken you are suppose to have a little bit for better handleing.

If you haven't modified your wheel/tire combo you should be fine. 84RHONDA is correct in the 1.5" spec, as a rule of thumb anything over 1.5-1.75 should require a camber kit. Remeber, the springs WILL settle after a couple of weeks, so you might notice a small change in ride height. Definately have a 4 wheel alignment performed 2-4 weeks after the drop to ensure that everything is within specs.
But don't take my word for it, I'm sitting as low as my coilovers will allow, without a camber kit and no tire wear yet, I've got a couple of nice 4 wheel drift stories under my belt though.

you had noticable tire wear with a 1 inch drop? that seems odd because one inch isnt very much. a really heavy driver and passenger will make the stock suspension drop 1 inch. so i guess heavy people need camber kits? anyways im getting my super h springs very soon.
