Well technically it's called a nipple, but there should be another 'plug' somewhere right there under the throttle body. It's for the FITV (do a search please) and it has coolant flowing into and out of it, thus 2 nipples.

Weird...what engine is this on? Maybe the coolant return is on the inside of the throttle body and intake manifold? You don't have a typical H22/H23 throttle body I know that much...

If the FITV was removed you wouldn't have that nipple and there would be an empty space...so it's not that

i have an h22a1 under the throttle there are some empty groves/holes so i wonder if the fitv was removed. Its getting super irritating its like one thing after another with this car lol i wondering if i should just yank the whole thing 2morrow and investigate....and if it is removed curse the gods because i cant find the fitv anywhere...

Can you get a pic of the bottom of the TB?

You should be able to find a used FITV on here or eBay or something for pretty cheap...I think I have some in the garage also if you want

the fast idle valve has been removed off of the bottom of the throttle body. That nipple isn't doing anything. If you look at your idle air control valve you will find the mystery missing hose. somebody has ran it from the thermostat housing to the idle air con valve to bypass the fast idle valve trying to make it run better. Hot coolant near air intake makes incoming air hotter (not much). Hotter air less oxygen. . . less power. you need to look at the bottom of the throttle body and make sure they blocked off the two holes or you will have a bad vacuum leak.

So that nipple is supposed to go over to the IACV? Mine isn't set up that way, but it's an H23...
