i know this isnt purely a prelude question but it is kind of related. I was recently looking at a '97 2.2 cl. I know theres also a 2.3 cl of the same year or '98. I was wondering if the 2.2 is the h22 dohc engine or if it is sohc like i heard from a friend? please shed some light on this for me.

 

h22a = 2.2 dohc vtech yo
h23a = 2.3 dohc non vtec (*riceboys starts crying)
f22a = 2.2 sohc non vtec

 

The CL doesn't use H22A1 engine. Don't know the code, sorry.

 

CL = Accord.

 

J30A1=3.0
F22B1=2.2
