Weird Electrical problems...
For about the past 3 weeks I've been having weird electrical problems. Ill be driving, and then my radio shuts off, tach and speedo drop to zero, then come back up, then drop down....sometimes then after a while my ABS light comes on, and stays on. the car will drive fine however, although lately, maybe twice a week, its completely lost all power, just to come back on again a few minutes later.
I checked voltage at batter tonight, 10-12v. Voltage at either side of the battery fuse: 10-12v. Voltage coming off of alternator:14.1v. So my alternator is good, which i origninally thought was going bad, but now i believe it to be the power cable from the alternator to the fuse box.
My question: can i run a new line from the alternator to the fusebox, and call it good? or is there more at work?
Car by the way, is a 1998 honda prelude SH with 109,000 miles

alot of times....
weird electrical **** = grounding problems.
id check alot of ur grounds, especially the ones under ur interior panels. on my 4th gen, the grounds for all that stuff was under the radio area infront of the shift a foot or so... im not sure about 5th gens tho.
