H23A does or doesn't have VTEC (depends which vehicle it came from). H23A1, H23A2, H23A3 do not have VTEC.

To fix your VTECH, simply attach a standard phone line and put the handset on the charging base.

My baby girl has a VTech.... I hope it doesn't kick her in!!

Simple way to find out though..... open the hood and if the words on the top of the engine say VTec instead of VTech.... you don't have VTech

you dont HAVE to look for the solenoid.

Doesn't say DOHC VTEC but the block is stamped H23A? Methinks the (#) after the A is oxidized.

I've heard it's common to swap in the non-VTEC H23A (from the Ascot Innova).

I find it amazing how some people still say vtech or v-tech. But there has never been a JDM H23 non-vtec... only H23 VTEC came in the Accord Sir-T wagon and was only Auto IIRC. The engine probably is an h23a3, j-spec from accord wagon. Essentially a honda-made h22/h23 hybrid.

You're just so full of FAIL.

There is indeed a non-VTEC H23A and it came in the Ascot Innova 2.3Si-Z, just like I already ****ing said. Furthermore, the H23A3 came in the EUROPEAN Accord 2.3i SR (which is a 4dr sedan, not a wagon) as well as the Rover 623.

Next time you want to post something contradictory, just don't. Hell, use the Search feature.

Correct. H23A1 is non-VTEC. You're welcome.

That's courtesy of me, also. I redid the Prelude, Accord, and H-Engine pages.
