VTEC PROBLEM HELP!!!!
We went on a cruise yesterday up in too the mountians it was about 98 degrees outside and after an hour of driving we took a 15 min break and started back home after we got out of the canyon we stoped at a stop light and went to take off and when I hit 5500 RPMs when my VTEC kicks in it just got REALLY loud and the RMPs did not want to clime! then after words I let it sit and cool off for about 2 hours unplugged the battery and the conector from the VTEC silanoid and and drove to my friends were we fixed a raddle on my cat and when we went to see if the raddle was gone my VTEC engaged like normal! Did it just get too hot? is there a wiring problem? or could it be my silanoid is going bad? I really need some ideas thanks
i really dont know if its a wire problem but mine did the samething when it got hot. Whenever i hit V-tec it acted like it hit rev limiter and wouldnt go past that. later i noticed that the ground wire on the v-tec silanoid was barely on. I also took the silanoid off and cleaned it and never had a problem since.
