Hi, i have an H22 with an oem style ebay header, and i was wondering if anyone knew if an simple oem style header for an h23 DOWNPIPE would work. reason why is because my downpipe is dented and i want to replace it. is it only the upper manifold that is different?

No, I don't think they are compatible. The shape of the ports is different if I recall.

 

i know DC headers are compatible. i have the h22 top piece on a h23 downpipe

 

Try it and tell us what happens!

ports from the block? that i know is.

 

Oops, sorry, read your post wrong; thought you were talking about the primaries. My guess would be as long as the flanges have the same bolt pattern you'll be okay. I would try to get the same brand downpipe as your primaries to be sure.

 

the DC sport header A pipe WILL mount to the H23 Bpipe (down pipe)

My buddy did an h22 swap in his 4th gen, bought the DC header from his room mate, and only used the upper portion.

Y not just order another $100 header? My B pipe has been crushed most likely similar to urs for 2 years now, and my car made 183whp/153wtq with a stock exhaust

I know the h22 manifold doesn't mate with the h23 down pipe, and I think DC used h23 flanges for their exhaust header.
