is your vtec crossover loud. cause u cant hear it but i feel it click on at 5000rpms can it be im running dual exhaust

 

It's not as noticeable with a stock intake as it is with an aftermarket one.

 

problem could be in your signature it says exhaust leak...maybe fix that, tho the only car i know to be super loud when vtec kicks in is a RSX. Most other cars unless you have cams and an intake arent quite as loud.

 

My car is stock and i can hear the difference really well.

 

May car had a SRI and was running open-header all the time......VTEC was VERY noticeable!

 

When my car was stock you could hear crossover very well, but now with intake and exhaust....its nice and loud

i was under the impression that preludes had the loudest vtec crossover?

You haven't heard the Type R or the S2000 crossover into VTEC have you? any DOHC VTEC motor you can hear crossover into VTEC.

 

listen to a RSX compared to a Prelude... you will hear a major difference with a vtec crossover...ive never personally sat in a s2000 but i know RSX have one of the loudest crossovers. Its ridiculous. Im not to impressed with the type-r unless its running cams but when they do its sick as **** also...but stock i have to say RSX by far...but like i said ive never personally rode in a s2000 so thats the only car i cant compare.

ya B16s are rather loud, ive never been in a RSX, so i couldnt tell you ....h22's are decently loud. especially with some nice Stage 2 Skunk2 cams,

 

you can hear it on mine pretty good, as the revs get higher its like vvvrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuu and then vtec hits and its all bbbbbbbwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaannnnnnnncccccc chhhhhhhhhhhh

I got a V2 intake and damn it is loud, realllly noticeable. When I go through tunnels or anything like that..damn it makes it is sooooooo fun to hit VTEC...very very addicting. Also, my exhaust is very quiet so most of the sound comes from under the hood. I hate loud annoying exhaust.

ITR man, there is no doubt u can hear the crossover on those things, esp with exhaust. You know when Vtec is comming

 

i just put a cold air intake in my sisters RSX-s and vtec is loud as ****

 

i just came to the conclusion that vtec sounds like a scared goat. bwwwwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah
