prolly a stupid question...but i bought my car imported from japan and found to my surprise it had a VTEC controller hooked up next to the steering column...what do they do exactly?

 

Use the Search function on the top right of the site, is a very good friend and can find you alot of information like this. This has been covered quite a couple of times.

Basically you can change your VTEC engagement point with it and also change some air/fuel settings.
