I think the biggest difference is what look you want. like the apex unit has cool displays, but like the fields' unit is smaller and will tuck into little spaces better.

Supposedly people have had problems with the Field controlling knocking out their MAP sensor after time. It's never been confirmed that it was improper install or a spike though I have yet to hear of one occuring w/ the V-AFC. Anyone know when the V-AFC2 is coming?

ij ust got my VAFC, and it looks sweet. everyone i know with the fields vtec controller says somethings wrongs. i.e. no vtec, reset fuel, turns off, ect. and i think it only tunes the car in increments of 1000 when the VAFC does it in increments of 500. correct me if i am wrong on that one.
theres suppose tot be a VAFC2? what is the difference? price?

V-AFC2 will have a tighter tuning range along with many of the features that the new AFC2 has.

But you're completely wrong regarding the Fields unit. It DOES have changeable VTEC transition variable, it's settings do not reset, there is a manual turn off switch where it shuts off and allows signals to pass though w/o modification, a GOOD option! I have no idea what you're talking about when you say "reset fuel." But yes, the VAFC has a tigher range of fuel tuning.

i know the fields lets you change vtec engagement point, hence the name vtec controller. i thought he would already know that, thats why i only told him about the increments. what i mean by reset fuel, like i heard some people saying that after they tune it, it would reset back to the factory settings. this did not happen to me, but i heard these things.

Or you can just install the VAFC like this
