Default V-Tec controller settings???

Is it worth my time to hook the Apexi VAFC II, and if so does anyone know a good set of specs for a base tune for H22A? Or know where i can find them.

^kinda, its a yes but kinda no type answer. mainly because of the other options out there.

and there are no specs out there because you actually need to get hte car tuned. every car is different. you can't go off anyone elses numbers.

and don't hook up it and run around w/o getting a tune. its like the biggest waste of time / ricery thing to do. (imo) because that says you care about having one instead of actually using it.

Install it and dont touch any settings. Only do the initial set-up. Get it tuned at the dyno. Personally i think VAFCs are a waste. I use to have a VAFC I got rid of it then bought a VAFC II and got rid of that one. I believe tunning the VTEC engagement and fuel with out being able to tune timming is not a good thing. Im not a big fan of "piggy back" ECUs because i dont like the way one over writes the other. If i were you i would buy a Hondata system, you will be able to do much more with that than you'll ever be able to do with a VAFC.

Yeah, i kinda understand. i know that every car is different. But if i had some base specs, then i would be closer to where i need to be rather than starting from zero. Before i can actually get it tuned on a dyno.

With the Hondata system you have to take it to a Hondata tuner. You cant just do it yourself because it has to be plugged into a computer and you have to know what your doing. Plus with the Hondata you can always upgrade and add things like boost control and other options.

You can get the basic Hondata for the same price if not cheaper than a VAFC.

Do you plan on doing any road course racing? If not, screw ATTS because it doesnt help in a straight line.

If you are not planning on heavily modding your lude in the future, a VAFC is fine. But if you are planning on doing some serious modding to it, save the pain of having to sell your VAFC and then getting Hondata or other management system in the future.

as Revi said the VAFC is really only for a basic tune for such as I/H/E and whatnot. If you plan on a bigger build in mind then your better off with crome or hondata like everyone suggested.

I got mine VAFC2 for cheap so im really just using it for the rpm and throttle and the look...mybe will get a tune later but no hurry...lol

I have a VTEC controller and just off an air fuel tune i got 8 more WHP and 13 more foot pounds of torq so i say yes if your not going hondata.
