Default Universal O2 Sensor

I am trying to get som info about how to hook up my O2 sensor. I have the bosch universal one with 2 blk, 1 bl, and 1 wht wire. I know that the 2 heated wires are blk, but does it matter which one from the old one matches with the ones on the new ones??? Are there any write ups on this anywhere?

Just for fun heres what my old sensor looks like:

My check engine light is coming on so I am replacing this sensor. It is all bent up and sooty like. It looks like it has never been changed before. Also I replaced the cat last year but not the O2 sensor. Do you all think that it has messed my cat up??

the 2 heater element wires shouldnt matter too much, and unless your existing O2S isnt working at all, your cat should be fine

I changed it. The check engine light went off. I should have changed it 6 months ago, but these shops (3 of them to be exact) around here were acting like it was going to take alot of work to get to it. I am a female, so you know they like to rip us off.
One day while changing my oil, I looked at the o2 sensor and said 'hell i can reach that from here'. So thats what I did today. Now I can drive my car thats been parked for 2 months.
