Default type SH automatic?

hi all, im new to preludes and am thinking about selling my civic for one. This particular car im looking at has type SH emblems on the back, but it is an automatic. Ive been reading that the SH only came in 5 speed. Whats going on? Did someone slap some stickers on this car? car is a 97 btw. thanks

Since my 99 SS is for sale-I can speak here about the 4 speed auto.
The reality is that there were NO, I repeat NO, 5th gen Prelude SH cars built for the US market with the SS tranny. It is a 5 speed with ATTS. The ATTS is the key to the handling of the SH along with a number of other parts. The car you are looking at may well be stickerized, but is not the real deal from the factory. The VIN will tell you what it really is, btw.

also keep in mind the SS (SportsShift) auto is very unreliable.

they tend to crap out on you often
