Default Type-s Intake....help

Sup everyone...sorry to ask a stupid question. I did a search and found info. but cant get info in fitting it on.

I got my type-s intake today for my 96 prelude, i cant get it to fit right. I know its for a 97-01 preludes, but theres away to get it to fit into the 93-96 preludes. Mainly the ignition coil gets in the way. I got it on but theres stress on the tube because the ignition coil is on the upper right corner of the dynamic chamber not on the side of the chamber. My question is do i need to modify something or its cool as is???

Also for starting air valve tube, do i need it??? because the type-s intake doesnt have a hole for it. (drill one in???)

If yhou ask @ries, he might be able to help you out. Then when you are done, you can do a little write-up on the install.... and results.

haha... thanks for the kind words. Well to fix your problem with the external coil... you have to un- bolt it from the bracket ( I think it's just one 12 mm bolt holding it). Then you move it to th other side of the bracket and bolt it through the other side. Get it? Well here's a pic of what I'm talking about. notice that the bolt is screwed in on the other side.

For those still searching for a Type-S intake.... you can try icbmotorsport.com
here's the link..

Sorry for the OT, but is anyone on here using the euro R airbox?
I'm having trouble finding a local replacement filter for it.
