tuneup problems, help!
2 things:
I was trying to change out the distributor cap and rotor, as well as the plugs and wires. when i got under the cap, there was a cracked plastic housing, which i ended up breaking off because i coudlnt see its usefulness and it was blocking access to taking the rotor off. anyway, the rotor was in a position so that the screw holding it in was hard to get at (it was behind these little electronic thingies, like capacitors or whatever) so i got a screwdriver in to get the screw out and cracked one of the little thingies in the process. anyway, i got the screw out and now the rotor wont come off. how do i get the rotor off? and also will the cracked capacitor thing make any difference, or will the plastic housing i removed make any diff?
2nd thing -- I was removing the old pcv valve and ended up breaking off the end of the hose on accident, so now it wont reach the valve itself so the valve is just plugged into the valve cover but not the little pgm-fi box. what problems could this cause if i drive it before getting a replacement hose?
thanks for the help

First of all, what kind of car do you have (prelude i presume)
and which engine is it? on an h23 dizzy, you should be able to just
pull the rotor off.

Off topic: cool screen name, good book.

the cracked capacitor or whatever, may cause you problems. i would reinstall everything and and see if you throw any codes before buying a dizzy.
Driving with the pcv valve not connected to the intake would cause a few problems. the open pcv valve would most likely spray a small amount of oil in your engine bay. The open vacumm line would cause idle problems, you could just cap that off though. Anyway, just remove that vacumm line and take it to the auto parts store. You can get a replacement of suitable length.
