Icon6 Transmission stud casing broken off

I just purchased a 92 Prelude with f22a1 tonight for $550, no smoke, no tics, no rust, not one dent, everything seems to work.

Guy that sold it to me was either a lying idiot or put 2grand into internals and really has 320 horsepower. I told him theres no way he has that much with internals. Judging by the valve cover leak, he prolly just wanted it sold.

Still for $550, its a great deal.

Okay enough rambling:
Well, I knew something was wrong with the transmission mount. He said he was putting a stage 3 clutch in and doesn't have time to put mount on because of newborn and he needed the cash.

Upon further inspection, I noticed something I think is unfix-able. I'm sorry my phone is dead so no pics I'm going to describe it.

2 of the 3 bolt holes on the transmission itself are snapped off. What I'm talking about is like the bolt goes through the trans mount to connect to the trans. Well, the hole that the bolt threads through is halfway snapped off on 2 of the bolt holes.

Any way to fix this with a welder or some other way? I really do not want to buy a new transmission housing, but it looks like the route I'm going to have to take.

I cant find anything on the internet about this..

Im not completely sure but i think those are studs. If there are still threads on them you can thread two nuts on them and tighten them together and then back off the inner nut and it should pull the stud out. You can either get new nuts and studs from the junkyard or the dealer.

What I mean is the actual holes that the bolts thread through on the transmission are snapped off.

I dont think jb weld is going to be strong enough to support the weight.

if you know someone who can tig weld, get creative with some aluminum bar stock, and weld on a couple of new ears, then all you have to do is mark the centers from the engine side, drill and tap them, I've seen it done before, and it's just as strong as the original pieces, if your welder knows what he's doing
