My friend has a base 97 prelude, and today we were pullin out of his driveway and it wouldnt go into any other gears while we were still rolling.. From a stop it will go into second but then it wont shift into third. Has anyone ever had this problem or know what it might be? Thanks

 

Have you checked your clutch? How about the fluid? Do you have any tranny leaks?

Need to start there, the last thing you want to do is pull the tranny right away.
Keep us updated as to what you find.

No we werent rolling backwards.. We put the car in 1st and started going just fine but it wont go into 2nd.. but from a stop it will go in 2nd.. so if you start in 2nd it works fine there too but then it wont shift to 3rd.. he just got a new clutch but we're not sure about how reliable the shop that did the work was
