Default Timing maps

Im tuning my built all motor setup with Uberdata running on a P28, right now im running close to 11.0:1 compression, and I'm wondering what kind of timing numbers other people are using.... The motor is brand new, ported and polished head, the head has been cleaned up alot as to prevent detonation, however I dont have a dyno, I'm just tuning on the street. So if anyone has any basic numbers on what kind of timing maps they are runnning so I can compare them to my own I would greatly appriciate it, oh and I'm using 93 octane, thanks

You may want to tell us which motor you are running. Also its gonna be pretty hard to tell you what kinda timing to run. Start with stock timing, take it to the dyno, and advance your timing until your stop making more power or you hear pinging.

This link might help: http://forum.pgmfi.org/viewtopic.php?t=5067, it's an H22 map using crome(P30 rom)..This would just be a start, you would need to do some additional tuning bla, bla, bla..

you won't have much luck tuning your timing on the street unless you have a very kean ear for detonation. I would stick with the timing you are running now until you can take it to a dyno.

You can safely advance your ignition timing by 2 degrees since spec. calls for a 2 degree give either way.

So for example... my stock timing spec. is 15 degrees. So right now I have it set at 17. Advanced by 2 degrees for better performance, and still within Honda spec.
