Default throttle position sensor probs

I had been getting intermittent CELs for the tps and it would usually be while i was in say 3rd gear and at 2k rpm going onto the highwayand revving 3rd gear just past vtec and shifting at about 6k. the CEL comes on at about 4k or 4.5k. I replaced the tps and still got teh code after an ecu reset. I checked the voltage on the connector with the key in the ign ON position and got .6v. I'm not sure which setting the multimeter was supposed ot be on, but with dc V i put it at the setting that gave me a reasonable readout.. what setting do i need it on? my idle got fixed when i put the new tps on (was kinda irratic at idle) but this CEL is still showing up and now it doesn't come on whiel i drive, it's just there right when i start up the car.. I'm pretty positive I got the prong on the tps in the slot in the throttle body, but it's something I can check. Does anyone have any ideas of what I coudl do to fix this damn TPS? thanks in advance to anyone that can help

Did you check the voltage with the throttle open or closed? It should be adjusted so that closed is <0.5 v and open is >=4.5v

Maybe the normal shifting of the engine under hard acceleration is flexing the wire harness enough to break contact somewhere? Look for loose connectors, frayed or chafed wires, etc.

I looked at my repair manual and it says at closed throttle , when pulling the connector at the sensor, with the ignition on, there shoudl be .5 volts. where are you guys taking the voltage readings from? my multimeter has a few different positions to read DC V, what shoudl it be set at? I just swapped a new TPS in and the CEL wasn't on as soon as I started the car, but hopefully it'll stay that way and won't come on while i'm driving.

I usually use the Neptune RTP datalogger to check what the ECU sees, less trouble to do it that way.

your car uses DC-V

it is easier if you have some some of datalogger as mentioned above or even hondata logger

eitehr i'm really retarded and typed or actually took a reading in AC.. i can't remember.. The car is pretty much stock so I'm not going to get hondata for it to use a datalogger, maybe down the road.. what sort of other datalogging options do I have?
