Throttle position sensor
I have a spare throttle body with the TP sensor broken clean off. I don't see any bolts that hold it to the throttle body. It looks like little rings that are holding it on. How can I replace that, if I can. Thanks
You can either slot them with a die-grinder or hack saw blade. Then use a flat head screw driver and un-screw them. Or just grind them completely off since the tps is already busted.
Yeah, just break it off if it's already broken...then go to a junkyard and find some old accords or something with engines and buy a couple throttle bodies for 30$ and carefully cut and unscrew the screws on the TPS and you got extras...
Or buy one from Honda for $500.....your call

K, from Honda they are only 492.50 Get it right!! LOL But yeah, I have a b16a that needs a TPS. Will any old Civic or Accord one work on the motor?? I work at a Honda dealership and the parts guy said the only way he can get a TPS is from a wrecked b16 in a junkyard far far away or brand new with throttle body.

There are only a few designs for the TPS sensors...One points down and the other points up...that's all I've ever seen..
Just check aroung the junkyard for the newest model Honda you can find with an engine and buy the throttle body(it ain't much)...Just make sure it looks exactly like your and it's not broken or covered in mud or anything...
Yes, the Tps will come off and old accord, or any model for that matter, you just have to cut grooves in the bolts to get it off...
