Default swaps

I want to do a swap for my 92 prelude s. I have the f22a1 5 speed. I know everyone does h22's but are there any other strong vtech motors to put in here besides k series. too pricey for that swap. I have a decent amount saved up but don't want to spend it all on the swap.

H22 is easiest. H23VTEC is becoming common. F20B is an upgrade, but the H22 is better. Some have tried a J-series.

Both seem to have 200 HP. I am aware of the disparity between an auto F20B and Type S H22, but the mean is that they both have 200HP.

Just about every H22 is burning oil right about now. "Help, I have blue smoke when I accelerate y0!"

Can you even go to Autozone (NAPA/O'Reilly/etc.) to get parts for an F20B without knowing the exact part you need? An H22 seems a better swap for someone who is NOT a Honda engine guru. When he swaps in an F20B he may not come back here & post:

"Help, I have blue smoke when I accelerate y0!"
but I guarantee he'll post this:

"Help, I have an F20B. What parts fit my engine?"
or this:

"Help, I have an F20B. Can I use this timing belt?"
or this:

"Help, I have an F20B. Can I use these pistons?"
or this:

"Help, I have an F20B. Can I use this hose?"
etc.
