Stolen Prelude??
I was just curious, I had my 90 civic si stolen last fall, which seems to be a very common thing with civics. But I very rarely hear about preludes getting stolen. How many of you have had one stolen from you? Do you think a lot get stolen? If not why do you think this is? Just trying to get some insight into this. Thanks.

Re: Stolen Prelude?? (nmauro)
wow, i keep seeing the same posts in here....Preludes arent very likely to be stolen. They are exactly on the Integra/Civic level as far as people wanting them. So please search and you will find MORE info than I can tell you!

I had my 96 Prelude stolen last October. It was gone for about 3 weeks and found abandoned in an apartment complex with just the electronics (subs, amp, box, playstation, laptop, and headunit) stolen. Luckily I got it back in good shape.

last summer right after i put a new h23 in someone broke into mine, took a $100 radio out and did $750 worth of damage trying to get in till they finally broke the window and went in. I think it was a bunch of punk kids that did it. 6 others in our appartment complex was hit that night. (christmas eve no less)

Someone tried to break into my 92 S earlier this week, just damaged the lock cylinder. Got a new lock cylinder from the junkyard for $5 and am getting it rekeyed on monday. And like M2B4 said, if you start visibly modding it (rims, exhaust, sound, etc) you will make yourself a much bigger target for theft than leaving it stock. On the whole I think 5th gen Preludes are very rarely stolen, but 4th gens seem to be stolen more often.
