so i got my '92 si back from getting an h22 swap, and its having problems starting. pretty much, the ignition just turns (theres a spark, but it doesnt start). it doesn't do this everytime and it was doing this before the swap, so i think its the fuel pump. the only thing thats really worrying me is that sometimes it will make a scraping noise too, whether it starts or not. would this also be caused by the fuel pump, or is it something else?

thanks for the response...i did a search and i figured it is probably either the fuel pump or the main relay, but nobody mentioned this sound im getting. the car will crank like its supposed to, but then after like 2 or 3 seconds theres awful scraping noise...i don't know if i'd describe it as a "suuump...click" though....

is the noise coming from the back or the car (ie fuel pump) or the front?

i don't remember and it didn't have any problems this morning. thanks...i'll listen a lil better next time that happens
