Default Starting Problem

Ok i have a 1999 Honda Prelude base model and its salvaged. What is happening is that i can start up the car in the morning fine. Then if i leave it to idle and warm up it would just die after like 30 sec-60 seconds. When i start it back up it kind of struggles...it starts then goess...putt...putt..putt... the turns off. Then i would try to do it again but no success. It hella turns for a long time and i would give it some gas too. Then after like 20 seconds of turning the key, it would start with some gas. But when i would drive and go to a stop sign or just stop for any reason it would die. The rpm would drop FAST. i can keep it alive if i keep revving the engine, but i can't stop or i gotta restart. When i drive around for a while and the engine is warmed up, the RPM drops slower and i can keep it at a study revving pace. but sometimes i don't need to rev it when my engine is hot enuff.

Once again this is salvaged. It has full cat exhaust, intake, and headers. i was told it could be my ecu, but i reseted it and does nothing. Could i be that i need a different ecu or im just way off. I REALLY REALLY need help on this. i hope all the Honda-Techs out there got any ideas.

you could try adjusting the Idle screw. Do you have the Coolant bypass mod done by chance?

Basically there is coolant that goes into the Intake manifold to warm it for cold starts. Some people bypass that so it won't heat it up. I've heard it does little and sometimes can make it difficult to start the car and keep it going. I don't know too much about it because living in New England I think it might be a little rough in the winter.

Another thing I would check would be the spark plugs. Make sure they are clean and gapped correctly.
