Starting issue
So, to start of I have a 1996 Civic Hatchback DX with a swapped H22 2.2L Vtec DOHC, Turbocharged. I removed a spark plug to check compression real quick before stopping the engine... regretting it now. The car came to a slow idle and stopped. When I finished the compression test I replaced the spark plug wire and the car would not start. My fuel pressure gauge does signal that I'm getting fuel. Could have removing that spark plug wire without it getting a good ground have killed my Ignition coil??

Re: Starting issue
Yes, either your coil or your ignitor could have blown, more likely your coil. When you pull the spark plug wire it's best to do it real fast. The longer you wait the more likely to blow your coil or ignitor.
I would first check the 15a ecu fuse in the engine bay fuse box assembly. It could have blown.

Re: Starting issue
Thanks, I tested if the coil is getting power with test light, and if it is getting a signal from the ignitor by hooking my test light up to the positive side of the battery and then to the negative lead to the coil and turning over the engine. It did flash with every crank so I guess that means its the coil?
