hi i have a 94 si and just replaced all the belts now it has this squealing/squeaking noise when i start the engine up in the morning/in cold just for .5 sec. what can i do to make the sound go away? do i need to bring it back to the shop to tighen it more, get belt dressing, or leave it alone?

 

find what belt is squecking and losen the tensior on it alittle?

 

It is most likely your power steering belt... it could be the AC/ALT belt though. Just have it tightened up a bit and you'll be fine. If you hear the squeal when turning then you know for a fact its the PS belt.

 

no umm it squeals/squeaks when i start the engine when it is cold. not when im turning.
