I had the same problem for a while, then I checked the connection from the plug of the wiring harness to the speed sensor and found that there was a dirty connection.Just a suggestion but the guy before me might be right your speed sensor might be going bad.

Not to bring back an old thread, but where is the connection to the speed sensor? My speedometer has been having problems for a while and I want to check mine out.

Look straight down from the throttle body on the tranny. It has 1 bolt holding down the whole assembly and 2 brass screws holding the plastic sensor to the assembly.

Better to bring back one that's already made than make 10 new ones. God bless the search feature, and bless you to for using it.

yeah it shouldnt be too hard to find. just on the back of the tranny, you should see 2 little hoses running to it as well, this is for power steering. i would say to replace or check the connection of the sensor. I had a problem like this one time and my alt was going out.

I'm not sure if I found it or not. Can someone take a picture for me so I know I'm looking at the right one?
