i have a 98 prelude. ok so i was driving on the freeway only goin 60 then all of the sudden i see my speedometer niddle goin up and down randomly. then about 2 min later my check engine light came on. i also notice that the milage on the car was not goin up. what could be the cause of this? i know lose wiring but i dont know why the check engine light would come on. any thoughts?

 

VSS on the top of the tranny. needs to be replaced. you can also search "VSS"

 

would anyone happen to have a picture of what it looks like and is it hard to replace. i know nothing about it so yea.

 

check the fuses first may have a blown one
