Default Speaker sizes

What size speakers are the fronts and rears on a '96 Si? Also, is that upper center piece in the backseat for a speaker?

6.5" Front and Rear. Get separates for the front woofer + tweeter. The tweeters go in the dash behind the "baskets" as you called them. Get SHALLOW 6.5" for the doors or you will have to space them out, there is not a lot of depth. Mine are spaced about 3/4" out with MDF rings. The rear is alos a problem with depth, I think mine are raised about 1" over the rear deck (Infinity Kappa's 6.5"). Up front are CDT EF-61NEO 6.5" Component Speakers Slim Application.

Hope that helps, the worst part about the whole thing is running good speaker wire through the door jams and into the doors from the cabin.

yeah, there 6.5" all 4 of them. Polk Audio is a good route, they fit good. I got a Polk/ MOMO compontent set and they front doors i had to modify like a B**** to get them to fit.
