speaker fitment
sup guys, i just bought some orion p6.2 comps for my prelude. i was wondering if i could fit the speakers since they have a depth of 3 inches. also where would i mount the tweeter? if i do put them in the stock lcation location, what do i do about the crossovers? thanks.
4th gen or 5th gen?
if it's a 4th, the stock tweeters are up front, in each corner of the dash. It's fairly easy to pull the cover off. my crossover is behind my head unit...
if it's a 5th...I wouldn't know.

5th gen will probably need some small spacers to accommodate the magnet depth, and the tweets can go in the factory location, top of door panel. You could put the x-overs in the doors, or under the dash somewhere.
its a 4th gen btw, i guess i thought the speakers connected to the crossover too. is it only the tweeters that connect to the crossovers? how big should the spacers be? thanks guys.

The spacers will be about .5" or so, not sure about 4th gens. Both speakers will connect to the crossover. If you plan to put them inside the door, then there is no problem. If you want to put them under the dash, then you will need to run an extra set of speaker wire into each door.

Put the crossovers in the door, below the arm rest, there is plenty of space there. The speakers and tweeters both connect to them, thus you'll have to run the tweeter cable through the door into the dash.

dang what should i do about the spacer thing. should i make my own or do they sell premade ones?? the wiring is all crazy right now. i cant put the crossovers under my door cuz there seems to be no space, and even if i did, the tweets are on my dash, but i can't find a useful hole for my doors. theres like one hole, but i can't find it through my dash.

you can buy some and I don't think they're that much, however they'll prolly be some generic one that you'll need to modify. Making them is pretty easy too. Two potential problems is that either 1. you use a spacer that is too thick and the panel won't sit in all the way and 2. if you use a spacer that still doesn't provide you enough clearance and the window when rolled down may hit the speaker magnet. Just make sure you get your measurements right
