spark plug replacement
I want to put new spark plugs and spark plug wires in my 1999 prelude.
1. is there anything else i should be replacing with that?
2. where are the spark plugs located under my hood?
3. does anybody have a DIY for it?
Thanks.

should replace the cap and rotor as well. You don't have to, but it would be a good idea to since the parts are cheap anyways
1) Pop your hood
2) Take plug cover off (4) 10mm bolts
3) Take plug wires out of each hole
4) Use Spark plug removal socket to take each plug out
5) Do all these steps in reverse, but take the little rubber thing out of the spark plug socket so that the socket doesn't get stuck on the plugs when putting them back in

Hey, you are located in Dallas, right? Me too.
You seem like a pro when it comes to talking about 5th gen preludes.
I have more questions for you, if you dont mind.

Okay here is the question...
I have a clicking noise coming from the rear passenger side, when I take turns.
Im not sure if it my axle, suspension, wheel bearing, or something else???
I showed it to a mechanic. The mechanic, did a road test with me driving and he sitting in the passenger seat. He said, its coming from the rear, from both the coilovers. He said thats normal for aftermarket coilovers to make that noise. He said, its not the axle as when the axle goes bad, the noise is loader and doesnt come from the rear.
Also, I have been hearing this noise, since maybe November 2005, when I had got my new coilovers. I was just avoiding it, since I was busy with work, but I have time now to look into it.
If it were my axle, I guess it would have been broken by now.
Right?

is it only when you take turns, or when you go over bumps? my prelude does it too, you can fix by replacing the shock collar (TSB 00-090) its like 10 bucks at honda. pretty easy to install too.
Trending Topics
The collar is located at the top of the rear struts, under the upper bushing. To be able to see it you must first remove the top nut and washer from the rear strut.

^lol i'm just messing with him cause i know him
anyways, it could be your coilovers or a blown shock. sometimes it just squeeks because its aftermarket (friends 5th gen squeeks / clanks with tein flex's and the car is perfectly fine)

+1..It's defenitly not normal for coilovers to make a clicking noise. Mine have never made a clicking noise ever since I installed them over 2 years ago

Y'all seem to know each other and are from DF-Dub. Me too. I have 5th gen prelude and Im a noob when it comes to car-talk.
Thanks for your help. So, would you say its something I shouldnt be worried about at all or should I get both the rear shock collers replaced?
Where do yall go for tune ups in dallas. Im in north dallas area, close to the tollway.
Is Matchless-Performace in Carrolton any good?
