Default Spark Plug Question

Hey all, Im ordering 5th Gen plugs the NGK stock parts. I use to order from Autopartsplace.com or Rockauto.com but I've been noticing differing prices for the same model.
Even autozone has the PZFR6F11 for around $2.00 (which also have a different part number of 4291) where some of these sites have them for $2.00 and another with the same model number for around $11-$13. I'm a bit confused, the one with part number 4291 states V POWER but has the PZFR6F11. The other states OEM Platinum plugs.

Any suggestions on where to buy or if they are interchangable? thanks.

You're looking at the ZFR6F-11, which is the NGK V-Power copper plug. They usually run about $2 each. The platinum version is the PZFR6F-11, which runs about $10 to $12 each.

They are interchangeable. OEM plug is the PZFR6F-11. I personally use the ZFR6F-11 in my track car, as I change them often.

wow, wasn't expecting to get such a good answer, lol. Thanks for the reply

Do u suggest i go with the Platinum since its "OEM" and my car has 130k miles on it? I dont think i would ever change them again as I probably will be selling the car within the year anyway.

Im also ordering fuel filter, wires, dist cap/rotor, coolant, brake fluid... Cars in excellent condition but I am meticulous like that. Anything else I should be getting?

Thanks again

Depends on what kind of maintenance has been done already.

Yeah thats a good question, a lot has been done I'm not sure exactly what. Is a fuel filter replacement necessary as I do not see it on the list of things needed in the owners manual.

go one # higher on the first # in the plug ID.

ex. if you have ZFR5F11, a ZFR6F11 will be cooler

Correct. Stock on the Prelude would be the ZFR6F-11. One step colder would be ZFR7F-11. Keep in mind that a colder plug will foul easier.
