spark plug question
is the ngk bkr6e11 a good spark plug to run in a pretty much stock 94 gsr?
what spark plug did they run from the factory?
any recommendations on good spark plugs?
i've searched but didn't really come up with much info.

pretty much any NGK spark plugs, I never use anything but those and you shouldn't either, on a honda. But it depends on what kind of performance you want out out of them, some of them create more spark than others, but any of them are fine.
I recommend the NGK copper plug BKR6E-11, which is the same as the OEM plug for GS-R's but w/ copper core instead of platinum.A set of four BKR6E-11 plugs is about $8-$9. They only last 10k-15k miles, but it only takes about 5 minutes to change them and is still cheaper in the long run that OEM platinum NGK plugs which are anywhere from $11-$15 for just ONE

yeah, but platinum is good for 50k or more.

Care to explain what makes NGK superior than any other brand of spark plug for Honda vehicles? If they are so good why not use them for every other brand vehicle?

Which plugs create more spark? If any of them are fine why are there so many options?

Care to explain the benefits or reasoning behind using the Iridiums?
Well I was using a set of NGK iridium plugs when I went to tune my car and my tuner said that IRidium plugs suck. So he had an extra set of NGK Vpower plugs and he let me try them out. I gained 2whp in my mid range power band when i put them in. So I'll have to vote for NGK Vpower.

aren't the v-powers the ngk bkr#e11's?
and is there even a benefit to running iridium's?

it's not like they are so much better than other brand, they just work well with our engines. if you put autolite(sp?) on it, it will run not well as ngk.
same with others, if you put ngk on american engine, it will run not good as autolite.
and putting those 4 tip plugs will make not run good too.
you can go with cheaper ngk and change it every 2nd oil change or so.
far as part number. go to NGK web site. they have every info you need.

You obviously haven't heard of Rocket Motorsports have you?
How would a spark plug differentiate an import motor from a domestic

So you used plugs designed for an LS on a GSR?
So you used plugs designed for an LS on a GSR?
yea why is that a bad thing to do? the car runs fine i didnt think it was an issue...it really doesnt matter at this point because my old motor is back and going back in the car..i'm going to use the vpower ones in the gsr i just got back
Plugs for an LS are hotter heat range and gapped thinner than plugs for a GSR motor. Your car will still run but you may have lost some power, probably nothing significant though.
