Default some quick help please??

my prelude engine(swapped into eg civic) has a miss in the 1st cylinder and its running rich. i was told it can be the map sensor but the sensor is fine and im not throughing any codes for it. i am throughing code 21 vtec sol. would this have anythging to do with a miss? and if not what else can i try. the cap rotor wires etc. have all been changed.

no that will not have anything to do with it...when i did my swap i had the same problems. check the degree on the dizzy and make sure that it is right. you may want to get a timing light. as far as the vtec make sure it is wired correct. good connection. make sure its going to the right pins at the ecu. clean the screen on the inside of the vtec soleniod. do that and get back at us.

its really hard to do it by eye...you can do trial and error..the three bolts that mount the dizzy u use to set the degree. so loosen the three bolts and move turn in clockwise or counter clockwise depending how it is now..a timing light would be your best bet if you dont know.

check your knock sensor, and also the vac line running to the map sensor, where it connects to the hard line, im gonna attatch a pic in a sec.

yea the timing is dead on it just doent sound like it, the 1st cyl misses.and the solonoid light is on code 21 so i think it has something to do with oil pressure. my oil pan does have quite the dent but i dont think it would cause that. it has spark, fuel, and compression so idk
