Shifter Problems
Ok, I still haven't figured out my problem after install my Forbidden Short Shifter. I was too lazy to remove the shift linkages so I just pulled everything aside and took the shifter out like this. So the linkages stayed on the until i needed to remove the right one to get the shifter out. I didn't take the left one out though, so I someone figured out a way to get the shifter out without taking off the left linkage. I then took out a bolt that i wasn't supposed to take out i guess, and maybe i didn't torque it down right, it was the bolt that determines how the left linkage moves i guess. Now, when i'm in gear I can move the shifter left to right like it's in neutral, I have no problems shifting but this situation is getting on my nerves. If anyone has any clues as to what else could be causing my shifter to act like it's in neutral when it's in gear PLEASE let me know, thanks guys.

Re: Shifter Problems (PetroGuyX)
Have you taken the console back off and taken pics for me like I asked? Its got to be something simple. Did you loosen that bolt that you torqued way down?

Heh, with the amount that he has sold, I'm tempted to say you're doing something wrong.
I'm sure 4bidden can help you out if you take the pics.

Its obviously an install error, especially since he used the ghetto way of uninstalling/reinstalling.
For reference, I had this problem when I swapped my motor and the cause was that I was missing one of the huge clips that secures the linkage up by the transmission. Replaced it and no more side to side play.
You have a problem with your select (smaller) linkage somewhere.
