Recently my transmission has been acting up. To make this short and to the point... I've had the shift **** get stuck in neutral and unable to shift into gears on more than a couple of occassions (most of the time in the early morning) and also when I shift into 5th gear at higher speeds, it acts like the shifter doesn't fall perfectly into the gear and it grins just a little (like actually from the shifter not the tranny). At lower speeds (around 45mph), if I shift into 5th it goes smooth but as I said like above 55mph+ it gets worse.

Any advice on what this could be? I've taken it to a shop and they told me it's an interternal transmission problem and that it's going to have to be rebuilt in short (they said the syncros were out, bearings, etc etc trying to jack me I'm sure).

Oh, and btw it's on my 93 H22A VTEC.

 

Sounds like syncro's to me too.... But make sure you good on tranny fluid

 

search this one cause there should be alot of results, alot of 5th gens have this issue
