Default sensor or seloniod in the lower portion of the air box?

My girls car has some sort of wiring in the lower section of the airbox assembly. So I've been told. I wondering if they moved the Air temp sensor there or if it is some sort of selonoid that works in cutting engine noise. 2001 lude base model.

Any ideas. She has a ram-air intake and since the car has had exhaust, intake, header on it it has been kicking forward slow responce 02 sensor codes. We were just wondering if it could be this problem. Since we replaced the 02 with a new bosch within the last few months.

What do you guys think?

on the 4th gens (i don't know about 5th) there is a secondary runner in the airbox that is powered by vacume. the little thing downt here should just be the vacume solinoid.

when i pulled mine out there was no wiring, just a vacuum tube going to the diagphram, if whoever had it before you relocated your IAT to your lower resonator box then they're retarded

I didn't know if maybe in 2001 they moved it there I haven't looked at the air box yet. It could be a hose. She wanted it removed when they had her bumper off. They told her they couldn't because of a sensor. Like I said I haven't looked yet. This all happend before I started fixing all the crap wrong with this car.

you should search, i dont like saying it cos i didn't like it when i first came here but its true , you should search. it sounds like you've got a vacuum leak somewhere and judging that you have posted this in this thread i'm going to guess you got this problem when you removed the lower resonator for a CAI and didn't cap something off.
