There is rust bigtime on a prelude i'm checking out. How much is it going to cost to fix or how do you fix it? I'm just thinkin about sandpapering it and smearing vaseline over the metal for the time being.

 

How much rust and where is the rust located? I really don't think vaseline will work all that great...you may want to sand it down and primer it at the very least...but eventually you will just have to paint the section where it is rusted or the whole car (assuming its on the body)...

 

The rust has eaten chunks out of corners, like near the wheel wells. afaik there could be inner body rust as well.....

 

hey i got that to massive rust on the rear quarter panel on top of wheel well how much would it be to get that fixed alone

The one thing i fear is that there may be hidden inner rust, like interior rust under the carpet or fittings or whatnot
im not familiar with preludes, should i expect rust inside?
