rust in engine bay
hey, what can I do to remove rust from the surface of the cruise control and the shock mounts/copper nuts???......I need to get rid of the rust on the nuts to install a swaybar which I cant get off, any help appreciated.already searched, none found

well atleast your honest honest.........an impact gun is a compression driven power tool. you see them all the time at tire shops but I don't think youll need something like that...a ratchet and socket should be all you need....sand paper and wd40 should be all you need

Yea if you are serious about working on cars, get yourself a good air compressor. Then you can use all the pneumatic tool you want (like a impact gun).

an impact gun can also be thought of as teh gun they use to take the lugnuts off wheels in nascar/indy
and it sounds like your installing a STRUT bar (different from sway bar), which connects the top of the two strut towers.
a SWAY bar goes underneath the car and connects the suspension together, improving handling
oh yea... PB blaster is also REALLLYYY good at penetrating rusted nuts/bolts
